The Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center, a non-profit organization located at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger's main campus in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is dedicated to providing a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary medical program for children born with congenital birth defects of the central nervous system, including spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
With a dedicated office staff and volunteer physicians, the Center offers over 765 patients across the Southeast the necessary medical, financial and psychosocial services that patients and their families need.
We recognize that neural tube defects affect entire family and caregiver systems and that the financial, emotional and physical burdens accumulate over a lifetime. We offer the multi-tiered support and a positive outlook to make a difference in their lives.
