The Boehm Birth Defects Center addresses the financial, medical and psychosocial needs of children born with congenital birth defects, such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus. We provide necessary medical care, ranging from routine clinical care and exams to advanced surgical procedures.
If insurance is not available, we work with the families to find resources to pay for needed medical care. The Center also provides financial assistance for durable medical goods such as walkers, wheelchairs, braces, and eyeglasses. The Boehm Center also assists with the psychosocial needs of families by offering services ranging from the handling of insurance and appointment scheduling to family and patient education.
