Legacy Gifts

Legacy gifts and planned giving enable you to support our mission and make a difference in the lives of children with born with birth defects for generations to come.  When working with your attorney and/or estate planner to help you decide which options best suit your giving objectives, we suggest using the following language:

"I give, devise and bequeath to Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center, Inc. a charitable organization whose principal office is located at 975 E. 3^rd Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403 (state percentage of estate or residue, sum of money or otherwise describe property) to be used for its general (or state specific) purposes."

The Boehm Center prefers bequests be made for its unrestricted general purposes. However, please speak with your attorney about using language in your will that will ensure that your philanthropic goals are met.

The Boehm Center is exempt from federal income tax and is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization.  Our Federal Taxpayer Identification number is 51-0175-126.  Our legal name and address for use in a will, trust or other instrument of transfer is:
